Walter Hoving Home is a faith-based residential recovery program for women, set on a wooded estate in Garrison directly across the Hudson from West Point. Founded in 1967 by John and Elsie Benton and named for Walter Hoving, the Tiffany & Co. chairman who helped the ministry acquire the property, it offers a long-term program of counseling, education, and spiritual support rather than any kind of visitor lodging.
