The 1865 Office Building

The 1865 Office Building is the only freestanding structure still standing from the West Point Foundry's working years, a Victorian office building with Renaissance detailing raised at the height of the foundry's Civil War production. Preserved today within Scenic Hudson's West Point Foundry Preserve, it can be admired from the trail and read about at its historical marker, though the building itself remains closed to the public.
