Hudson Valley Shakespeare has been staging Shakespeare and beloved classics under the open sky since 1987, famous for performances where the river, hills, and sunset become part of the show. The company is now settling into its first permanent home, the Samuel H. Scripps Theater Center, carrying forward a tradition where, as one critic put it, nature and Shakespeare share the stage.
