Hudson Highlands Land Trust has worked since 1989 to conserve the lands and waters of the Hudson Highlands, founded by twenty-one local residents in response to mounting development pressure. Today the accredited trust owns more than 1,000 acres and holds conservation easements protecting thousands more, doing the quiet, steady work behind many of the woods and trails that people love to explore.
