Cold Spring Cemetery is the village's historic rural burying ground, established by the Cold Spring Rural Cemetery Association in 1862 on a wooded hillside above the Hudson. Its 1863 cut-granite Gothic Revival gatehouse, one of the earliest of its style in the Highlands, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Still in use today, it rewards a quiet, respectful walk among stones that trace the story of a foundry town.
